Exciting News!!

As you know, we have been searching high and low for a highly qualified candidate to take over my position at Cypress as the Director of Student Ministries. This long and very intense process has led us to TWO really cool guys that we're bringing in (separately of course) to meet the kids, parents, volunteers and church over the next few weeks.

This is where you come in!! Parents - it is really important that your kids (ages 6th grade on up) be a part of this next step in the process...even if they haven't been a regular attender up to this point! We're asking that you make every effort to get your kids to High Tide on both of these weekends so they can meet the candidates and give us THEIR feedback (we'd like feedback from you guys as well) so that we can be sure we're making the right choice moving forward.

Kids - INVITE INVITE INVITE...I want to see you guys showing up with BUSLOADS of your friends on these two weekends so that we can get a nice full room and really put these guys to the test! We want to see what they can do with you guys AND your friends that you'll be bringing over the next few years. We need to see how they mesh with students of all different types!! Like I said last Sunday night, I will be giving away a prize BOTH of these weekends to the kid that brings the most friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And we WILL be having youth group on Mother's day from 5-8 pm as a gift to all moms who need an empty house for three hours but it'll just be me and your regular volunteers:) No special guest that night.

SUPER DUPER BOWL PARTY

Hey all!!

You're invited to the Super Bowl High Tide Party this weekend on Sunday night from 6pm-8pm!!

New Years Pics & Info

Hey all! We had a BLAST at the New Years High Tide party!! We played a hilarious game of bean-boozled, had lots to eat, and met a lot of your very cool friends!!

Next Sunday, January 9th we will begin "Low Tide" again which starts at 5pm for those of you that want to come early, hang out, eat snacks, and play games. For the rest of you our regularly scheduled programming still starts at 6:30 and ends at 8!!

CHANGES & UPDATES

Hey all!!

Merry Christmas season to you all!

Just wanted to update you on a couple of changes for our Christmas season plans.

1. Tonight we will begin youth group at 6:30 instead of 5.

2. Next weekend is the FREE Sara Groves concert on Saturday the 18th and 19th. This means NO SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES and NO HIGH TIDE on the 19th.

3. Our Christmas party that was going to be on the 19th is now going to be a 2011 KICK OFF PARTY which will be held on Sunday, January 2nd. Ugly Holiday Sweaters are still encouraged as we celebrate the start of a new exciting year in High Tide!! Please bring $5 to cover the cost of the party and bring lots of friends!! Party will be held 630-8pm.

4. Christmas Eve services will be held at 5 & 7 pm on Christmas Eve (NO SATURDAY NIGHT SERVICE ON THE 25TH AND NO SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES OR HIGH TIDE ON THE 26TH).

5. Low Tide (the activities that take place 5-6:30 most Sundays) will resume on Sunday, January 14th.

Winter News & Events

Hey all!!

We had a blast this Sunday playing a very exciting game of Razzle, worshiping together, and hearing what the Bible says about giving thanks to God in good times and in bad.

What a great group of students we have at High Tide these days! A lot of our students are brand new this year and that brings such great energy and fun!

Next weekend we will have a bucket set out for students to give toward our Emergency Haiti Cholera Relief. Kids can sponsor an entire family for just $15. This money will buy a family all the sanitizing materials they need to help prevent the spread of this horrific disease. Be creative & raise as much as you can this week!!

Over the next few weeks there are some dates you need to remember so here they are...

• This weekend we WILL have Low Tide @ 5 and High Tide @ 6:30 so enjoy your Thanksgiving and bring your $15 for HAITI
• Sunday, December 5th our missionary to Kenya, Molly Bail, will be joining us to talk with our students about our compassion efforts overseas and how students can get more involved!
• Friday, December 10th is our Christmas OrangeXplosion and all families are invited. We will be having a really hilarious presentation of the Christmas story plus an awesome after party!!
• Sunday, December 19th is the High Tide UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER CHRISTMAS PARTY immediately following the last Sara Groves Concert. Party will take place from 7:30-8pm in Studio 4:12. We'll have music, games, and prizes for the ugliest Christmas sweater of course!!
• Christmas Eve Services @ 5 & 6:30 pm for the whole family
  
• NO SERVICES FOR ADULTS OR KIDS OR STUDENTS ON SATURDAY, DEC 25TH OR SUNDAY, DEC 26TH
• We will resume Low & High Tide on Sunday, January 2nd 2011

• time is 6-8 pm (this is different than our regularly scheduled programming)



• location is Studio 4:12 @ Cypress Meadows Community Church



• age - 6th grade through 12th grade



• PLEASE bring a snack to share - chips, a 2 liter, halloween cupcakes, etc.

• fun will include games, a costume contest, food, music, and NATE - who could ask for more!
